Seafood Bisque - Delicious Creamy Bisque Will Make You Feel Warm And Cozy!

Seafood Bisque

This seafood bisque is warm, creamy, bacony and delicious!

Despite it's complex flavors, it only takes about 30 minutes to prepare.

It is the perfect meal to warm you up on a cold, rainy day.

  1. 3 cups fish (or chicken) stock
  2. 2 ounces cream cheese
  3. 2 tbsp sour cream
  4. 2 strips of bacon
  5. 1/2 lb shelled mussels (meat only, thawed)
  6. 1/2 lb shrimp (thawed)
  7. Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Cook bacon and set aside.
  2. Combine fish or chicken stock, cream cheese (softened to room temp), and sour cream in a stock pot and blend well with immersion blender. If you don't have an immersion blender, this can also be done in a traditional blender.
  3. Bring stock mixture to a boil. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Once boiling, reduce heat to simmer and add seafood.
  5. Seafood cooks quickly so keep a close eye on it at this stage. Shrimp are cooked when they turn from white to pink. Mussels are cooked when their texture becomes firm.
  6. Once your seafood is cooked, turn the heat off, add heavy cream, stir to combined and heat through, and serve topped with crumbled bacon.
